When initialised with suitable input states, fermionic linear optics circuits can be used to demonstrate quantum computational advantage with strong hardness guarantees.

TITLE: Fermion Sampling: A robust quantum advantage scheme with fermionic linear optics and magic states

ABSTRACT:
We introduce a new quantum sampling advantage scheme combining the strengths of Random Circuit Sampling (RCS) and Boson Sampling.
The scheme employs Fermionic Linear Optics circuits with magic states to induce probability distributions hard to sample from classically. We give hardness guarantees comparable to RCS which include proof of robustness and anticoncentration.
