Quantum Australia 2023 highlights

Now in its second year, Australia’s premier quantum industry event — Quantum Australia Conference and Careers Fair — was held on 21 – 23 February 2023, online and at the Sheraton Grand Sydney Hyde Park to a sold-out crowd.

Hosted by Sydney Quantum Academy, the event brings together world-leading quantum researchers, businesses, government decision-makers, startups, and big tech to share developments and ideas.

During three exceptional days, the conference saw 450 in-person and 350 online attendees, over 65 speakers and panellists, 21 panels and presentations, 29 sponsors and exhibitors, 50 poster authors.

You can view all the action from three days of thought-provoking discussions exploring the theme ‘Building the foundations for a quantum economy’. Our careers fair sessions can help job seekers and students understand the skills needed for a career in quantum, and the exhibitor booths are a way to connect with potential employers.

You can catch Keynote speakers Andrew Dzurak – CEO & Founder of Diraq, Jeremy O’Brien – Co-founder & CEO of PsiQuantum, and Australia’s Chief Scientist – Cathy Foley, as well as the Hon Ed Husic MP, the Federal Minister for Industry and Science’s special Ministerial Keynote speech.
