Jared Cole is a Professor of physics, leader of the Theoretical, Computational and Quantum Physics group at RMIT, Deputy Director of the ARC Centre of Excellence in Exciton Science and chief investigator for the ARC Centre of Excellence in Low-Energy Electronics Technologies. He is also co-founder of h-bar consultants.
The TCQP group at RMIT specialises in theoretical and computational quantum physics, and its application to materials science, condensed matter physics, and quantum technology. Using advanced computational and mathematical techniques we study problems which range from the very applied to the purely theoretical, in areas such as low power electronics, next generation photovoltaics and quantum computing. We also develop software packages for simulating nano- and quantum electronics, quantum computing and advanced materials.
